Annapurna Base Camp – Ghorepani Trekking Itinerary (14 Nights/15 Days)
Day 01: Arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport.
Arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport, Then welcome by our office representative, and transfer to the respective hotel. After checking in to the hotel, meet our experienced trekking guide then detail briefing about the Trekking. Trekking permit collection as well as other required documents for the trekking. Finally settle down all the payment procedures.
Day 02: Fly to Pokhara then drive to Kimche (1640m) and hike up to Ghandruk (1940m)
After breakfast drive to Kathmandu Domestic Airport then fly to Pokhara (30 minutes flight). After arriving at Pokhara Airport we drive to Kimche on our private vehicle this takes around two and half hours. Upon arriving at kimche we hike up to the Beautiful cultural Gurung village of Ghandruk this takes around 1.5 hours. Ghandruk village is popular for its typical Nepali Gurung culture, tradition, and hospitality, besides this village is also popular as the village of famous Gurkha Army. The most amazing attraction from this village is the stunning view of Mount Annapurna south (7219m), Mardi himal (5553m) and Mount Fishtail (6997m). Stay overnight at Ghandruk.

Day 03: Trek Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m) (5-6 hours)
After breakfast we trek from Ghandruk to next beautiful village of Chhomrong, this takes around 5-6 hours of trek. We will start our hike through flat amongst fields and smaller villages. The trail begins from Ghandruk to Komrong hill which is slowly upward walking then after trek down to Kimrong River then cross the small bridge over the River. After crossing the Kimrong Bridge we ascend towards the Chhomrong village this ascends will take around 2 hours then we will arrive at the Chhomrong village. This village is also a Gurung community village where most of the youths are in the Gurkha army and the main income source of the villagers is from Tourism and Agriculture. From Chhomrong village we can see beautiful mountains i.e Mount Fishtail (6997m), Mount Mardi (5553m), Annapurna South (7219m), and Patal Hiunchuli (6441m). Stay overnight at Chhomrong.

Day 04: Trek Chhomrong to Dovan (2605m) (6-7 hours)
After breakfast trek Chhomrong to Dovan, this takes around 6-7 hours of trek. From Chhomrong the trail descends through the several stone staircases then cross the Bridge over Chhomrong Khola. After crossing the bridge we ascend up to the Sinuwa village at the height of 2360m. From Sinuwa it is an easy walk through the rhododendron, orchids and fern vegetation then descend through the stone staircases then we arrive at Bamboo, this place is famous for the abundant resources of Bamboo plant, therefore the place is named as Bamboo. From Bamboo we walk through the forest trail for about one and half hour then reach our next stop Dovan. Stay overnight at Dovan.
Day 05: Trek Dovan to Deurali (3230m) (5-6 hours)
After breakfast trek Dovan to Deurali, this takes about 5-6 hours of trek. We will have a silence jungle walk today to Himalaya from Dovan, after heading from Himalaya we will climb upwards up to Deurali and on the way we will also pass the Hinko cave and the moraines (old avalanche area). This is the last place with the tree lines before the alpine bushes and shrubs begin with a step further. Deurali, is a nice and cozy place for the overnight stop. The nearest attraction from Deurali is the view of a nice water fall. Stay overnight at Deurali.
Day 06: Trek Deurali to Annapurna base camp (4130m) (6-7 hours)
After breakfast trek Deurali to Annapurna base camp passing through Machhapuchhre base camp 6-7 hours. Above Deurali the valley widens and becomes less steep. As you walk further, more beautiful White Mountains are seen and close. The trail turns to the left in the valley after Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m) and it is pleasant walk up to Annapurna base camp though the air is thinner now. You may feel at the high altitude now. It is recommended not to rush and walk gently. Now you can see the one of best 360˙degree Mountain View in world from Annapurna Base Camp. There are tremendous views of giant Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna South 7219m, Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) 6997m, Tent peak (5695) and several other wonderful peaks. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Early morning Exploration around Annapurna base camp (4130m) then trek back to Dovan (2605m) (6-7 hours)
Wake up early in the morning to view the morning sunrise over panoramic 360 degree of Mountains, views of giant Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna South 7219m, Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) 6997m, Tent peak (5695) and several other wonderful peaks. After Excursion around the Annapurna base camp return to the hotel then enjoy the hot breakfast. After breakfast we trek down to Dovan this will take around 6-7 hours of trek. Stay overnight at Dovan.
Day 08: Trek Dovan to Chhomrong (2170m) (6-7 hours)
After breakfast Trek back Dovan to chhomrong, this will take around 6-7 hours. Since we are trekking the same route which we used before the views and trail are same as before. Arrive at Chhomrong and overnight.
Day 09: Trek Chhomrong to Tadapani (2630m) (6-7 hours)
After Breakfast trek Chhomrong to Tadapani, this takes around 6-7 hours of trek. From Chhomrong we will have gentle walk for some time then hike down up to Kimrung khola, cross the bridge over the khola then prepare to trek quite steep up to Choile for almost two and half hour. After climbing for such a long steep take a rest for few minutes at Choile then start our trek again. Now the trail is not as steep as earlier but a gentle steep trail passing through the forest until arriving at Tadapani. From Tadapani we can see beautiful views of Mount Fishtail (6997m), and Mount Annapurna Range. Overnight at Tadapani.
Day 10: Trek Tadapani to Ghorepani (2860m) (7-8 hours)
After breakfast trek from Tadapani passing through the beautiful rhododendron forest up to Ghorepani, this takes around 7-8 hours. Today from Tadapani we trek down one hour until we reach a small wooden bridge then after crossing the bridge we climb up for another one hour then rest for a while. After resting we again start our trek to banthati, but this time the trail up to Banthati will be a gentle walk. We continue our trek again from Banthati to deurali climbing quite steep trail for almost 3 hours then we arrive at Deurali. From Deurali we hike for more 2 hours, the trail is almost zigzag and on this trail we will also meet a nice view point from where panaoramic views of Mount Dhaulagiri (8172m) and Annapurna range can be observed. Finally arrive at Ghorepani and overnight.
Day: 11 Hike to Poonhill (3210m) and trek back to Hile (1430m) (7-8 hours)
Early morning hike up to the Poon hill for one and half hour, enjoy the morning sunrise from the view point. You can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Mount Dhaulagiri (8172m), seventh highest mountain in the world, Mount Annapurna (I) 8091m, tenth highest mountain in the world and other many mountains and peaks. Excursion around the poon hill view point area for about an hour then return back to Ghorepani, enjoy Hot breakfast then trek down to the tikhedhunga, this takes around 5-6 hours of trek from Ghorepani. Arrive at Hile, stay overnight.

Day 12: Drive Hile to Pokhara (2.5 hours)
After breakfast at Hile, drive to Pokhara on a private jeep for 2-3 hours. Arrive at Pokhara around afternoon then check in to the hotel, get fresh up then leisure time at your own. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 13: Fly back Pokhara to Kathmandu and half day Kathmandu city tour.
After breakfast drive to Pokhara Airport then fly back to Kathmandu, this takes around 30 minutes. Upon landing at the Kathmandu Domestic Airport we directly go for Kathmandu half day city tour, i.e
- Pashupatinath: This is located nearby Bouddhanth, this temple is one of the major important sacred pilgrim site for the Hindus around the world, and this shrine is enlisted in UNESCO world heritage site.
- Then after we drive to Bouddhanath stupa, which is the main important shrine for Buddhist around the world. Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest spherical Stupa of Nepal and one of the largest Stupa in the world. Bouddhnath is also enlisted in UNESCO world heritage site.
- Swoyambhunath, it is also one of the holiest pilgrims for Buddhist and Hindus, and it is located at the hilltop in the Kathmandu also popularly known as the monkey temple. Swoyambhunath is also enlisted in UNESCO world heritage site.
After completion of city tour, check in to the hotel at Kathmandu, rest for a while, do your fresh ups. Then ready to go for the Farewell Typical Nepali dinner. After Dinner, overnight Kathmandu.
Day 14: Kathmandu additional half day city tour and free and easy day
You will be enjoying further half day city tour of kathmandu valley, then after the city tour you will have further remaining time which you can spend as free and easy day or go for shopping. At evening Himalayan Icefall Trekking will pick you for Typical Nepali farewell dinner. Overnight Kathmandu.
Day 15: International Departure
After breakfast drive to Kathmandu international Airport for your onward journey.
How difficult is the Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
In terms of terrain, there are no ropes needed and no ice picks needed. There is no vertical climbing involved.
The trail is rough, rocky and gravel-strewn. Most of the trek involves long paths that go up and then down. People with weak ankles should take caution. Depending on the time of year you go there can also be snow and ice in the trails. Use caution or seek the expertise of our guide.
